Respite Care

For many, the challenge of caring for an adult family member with an intellectual disability is simply a part of everyday life. Caregiving though, is a demanding job and no one can do it alone.

  • The Community Placement Coordinator provides assessment and placement options for adults with intellectual disabilities for individuals that require respite care. Respite may also be used as an acclimation process for a prospective resident.
  • The service offers a 24 hour a day staffed program designed to give clients a secure home environment during their respite care period.
  • Although there is high demand and limited availability of respite beds, we offer respite services through our residential programs, or, through our Associate Family Program.
  • Please contact our Community Placement Coordinator, Sarah Weeks, for all inquiries at (902) 629-4425.
